Who Developed This Site?
My name is Garry Scoville. I'm an IT professional mostly focusing on website design and usability. Mostly, I'm an Internet fanatic who loves clean, intuitive, well functioning sites. I'm always noting and watching for usable features and great designs.
I have considerable experience designing website login and registration pages and applications, and overseeing the user experience. However, I am not a security expert. Please read the disclaimer.

Why I built this site
I've registered at many websites including social networking, banking, ecommerce, health, and other sites. I began to notice how poor my memory was for "favorite" type of security questions. I was frustrated when choosing questions for which I might forget the answer. The clincher was when my primary bank website implemented sign-in security questions with mostly bad security questions. I had to answer 3 questions that each had the same list of 15 questions. Only one question met the 4 criteria I specified on this website, and I could only feel comfortable about 2 of the 15 questions. I requested better questions, but of course, didn't even get a response. It wasn't too long after that when I attempted to sign-in to my bank and had to answer a bad security question. Well, I got it wrong. Of course, it was Friday afternoon, and I was locked out of the website until Monday when I could call to restore access.
I realized that someone should recommend to website developers some better security questions. Well here they are. I hope you find useful questions here. I'm interested in your comments; please visit my blog.
Proper Use of this Website
Please read the disclaimer before you use this information to build your own security questions. This website is not intended to offer authoritative or expert advice for securing and protecting website access. This is simply my experience and observations. If you want expert advice to develop security questions, you should seek a qualified security expert or professional.
What's with the pictures?
You'll probably agree, this isn't one of those sites you're excited to tell your friends about. I could have used images of locks, keys, hackers, suits, or other typical subjects. That seemed so dull. Instead, I used cropped images that I captured on a trip to Italy - more interesting even if they are off topic. Each image is from a different city. Can you guess the city location and perhaps even the exact subject in each image? Mouse over the image for a hint.
Quotes
I suppose you might think the quotes are filler.... well I love quotes and they are about security anyway.
